On April 10th we honored the selfless contributions of our volunteers and bell ringers at our Celebrate Hope Luncheon.

Advisory Board Chairman Rodger Craddock presented the Lifetime Service Award to Verna Matthews who has spurred on 47 years of Service Club Bell Ringing Competitions, raising over $150,000 through Zonta Club of the Coos Bay Area. Thank you Ms. Matthews, and thank you Zonta!

We also honored 93 year old Verina Matthews who has led the Service Club Competition in Coos Bay for 47 years, with over $150,000 in donations with Zonta.

The Salvation Army's After School program provides a safe haven for over 80 children to learn and grow; meanwhile, Hope Market enables over 1000 individuals to select their own groceries each month with dignity. Our Thrift Store in Coos Bay serves as another vital community resource.

Thank you Staff, Thank you Advisory Board, Thank you Volunteers!

Meet the Need

Our Leadership

Salvation Army Programs are led by Salvation Army Officers. These officers are responsible to lead by assessing needs, delivering programs and directing ministries for our local community. From serving food to balancing the books, they function as the Executive Directors and the Pastors for the Coos Bay Corps.
